I've discovered that, if I set up 2FA in both apps at the same time (by pasting in the 2FA key from some website) the apps will generate the exact same keys, so I can use RememBear in Edge and Bitwarden in Brave without any conflicts or problems (and without having to switch browsers to get the 2FA code). This will probably end in grief, but I'm giving it a try. That means I'm trying to make sure that the data in both apps stays up-to-date. But just in the last week, I have moved to RememBear as my primary password manager. I've been a paid premium (+ family) account user of Bitwarden for a longish time and I have no near-term plans to stop using it. In my mind the word "McAfee" unfailingly evokes memories of the crapware Dell puts on its computers. I just read about that (after reading your post) and see that TunnelBear has been bought by McAfee presume that applies to RememBear as well. For tech-challenged users-which is most people, honestly-Remembear is not a bad option, well, if you can afford it.) Remembear costs a lot more than Bitwarden and has half as many features but it's very well designed, very easy to use, and has a solid security model that resembles 1Password's. (I also like another password manager that you've probably never heard of: Remembear. I just think Bitwarden looks better and is easier to use. For me it's not the price advantage (though that's real) or anything else. I like the clean, minimalist look of Bitwarden. The browser extension for Bitwarden seems to work better than 1Password's. I switched to Bitwarden because it is simpler. Makes it impossible for somebody to get into your account even if they know your username and password unless they are actually on a device you've previously authorized.) And in some ways I like 1Password's security model better. 1Password is a great product-I used it for a long time years ago.
